IndiGo has launched a new "IndiGo Lite" fare aimed at passengers travelling with only cabin baggage, expanding its range of Economy Class fare options for budget-conscious flyers.
The new fare category will be available for bookings made through IndiGo's official website, mobile app, and contact centre starting July 1, while travel under the scheme will begin from July 15.
IndiGo Lite will be offered on all non-stop domestic and international flights, covering one-way, round-trip, and multi-city bookings for both adults and children.

| IndiGo launches 'Lite' fare for passengers travelling with cabin baggage on domestic and international routes. |
Passengers choosing the Lite fare can carry one cabin bag weighing up to 7 kg and will receive an automatically assigned seat at no additional cost. Those requiring extra services, including checked baggage, preferred seat selection, onboard meals, or priority services such as Fast Forward, can purchase them separately through the airline or at the airport up to one hour before departure.
The airline also confirmed that customers travelling under the Lite fare will remain eligible to earn and redeem IndiGo BluChip loyalty points.
Announcing the new offering, IndiGo Chief Strategy Officer Aloke Singh said the fare has been introduced to provide greater flexibility for travellers who prefer to fly light and pay only for the services they use.
With the addition of IndiGo Lite, the airline's 6E Ways to Fly portfolio now includes Saver, Flexi Plus, IndiGo UpFront, IndiGoStretch, Stretch+, and Lite, giving passengers a wider range of fare options tailored to different travel needs and budgets.
